ENGAGING EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS

We work with clients to get insights and priorities from the external voice, for the best decisions and to scope how to implement decisions for maximum impact.  Our team has the experience to guide clients on turning these ideas into meaningful outcomes for sustainable change.

We do this through active collaboration that brings you honest insights from your external stakeholders. We provide facilitation to improve group collaboration outcomes, by getting people engaged, talking and listening.

Making Great Decisions

The value in what we do comes from helping our clients make decisions the whole group can truly commit to.  How do we do this? While each client need is different, we generally follow a structured decision making process which we have seen work, time after time

STEP 1:  COLLECT OPINIONS, GENERATE IDEAS. Start with the end in mind. What are you trying to achieve?  We create the environment where everyone can contribute fully, openly and creatively. We know anonymity helps enormously as people are free to say what they really think, and the group contributes new ideas from a wider pool of perspectives.

SSTEP 2: THEME, SORT, DISCUSS. Sort the 'Data'.  Sort the ideas into sensible, pragmatic topics, themes or headings. It’s crucial that the group itself conducts this exercise as they will become familiar with the 'data' as a whole and start to buy-in to where their ideas end up!

Simple steps to Great Decision Making

STEP 3: SYNTHESISE AND REVIEW. Make sense of the data.  The group deep dives into the themed data to make sense of what has been captured. Don’t rush this - it is where the best ideas/solutions begin to form and reveal to the group so the best ultimate decisions are formed.

STEP 4: DECIDE, PRIORITISE, SELECT. Decision time: The group works to agree what is most important. Everyone has the independent and anonymous ability to select their top ideas.  Followed by a further pragmatic, open discussion on the impact of the prioritisation; does it make sense?   Is the group truly bought into the decision with passion and commitment?

Step 5: NEXT STEPS & ACTION PLAN. So What's the Plan? This is where we work with you develop the plan or next steps to ensure your decision is implemented; your people have contributed and committed to the entire decision making process.  So implementing the outcomes will be relatively straight forward.

This is a simplification of often complex decision making processes - but you will need to diligently complete all five steps to ensure the decision has the right impact and implementation.

EXPERTS IN PRODUCTIVE GROUP SESSIONS

We have built our business success on understanding clients’ needs to be flexible to suit all event types; face-to-face, online or distributed. Whatever the challenge we can deliver scaleable solutions to any size - from small focused teams to large multi-room conferences.

While we are recognised experts in the use of group working technologies, it’s about more than technology; it’s about creating good design, best practice processes, commitment and high-level decisions, together. We often combine other compelling facilitation techniques and processes into our sessions; including experiential learning, nurturing dialogue, decision making and consensus measurement.

You need people to be participating online, not just listening:

You need to make sure online meetings, groups and events involve people who are active, not just logged on - we all know how it feels to be on a conference call, listening to other people; your mind is easily distracted.

A recent UK study reports that the average person loses focus after just 23 minutes on a conference call. We help the online team be (almost) as effective as if you were together in the room. Group work online with Realise has real impact so that people are not just listening, but actively participating and shaping decisions.

Building Client Capabilty

Building Client Capabilty

BUILDING CLIENT CAPABILITY

Our aim is for clients to become self-sufficient as change facilitators, enabling them with the knowledge, skills with the right tools so they can succeed at it themselves. This will normally involve a combination of tried and tested facilitation techniques and technologies to ensure you achieve creative, positive and lasting value.

THE Right People…

We are there when you need to identify, train and support skilled people from within your organisation.  Not confined to specialists.

Building your in-house team ensures ongoing value and capability: you know your business, we equip your people with the skills to build and grow without always reaching outside for help.

…WITH the Right Tools

The time comes when clients need to scale things up. We work with you to design and build a simple, coherent and compelling enablement plan. This gives you the ability to focus on the business needs, engage across the organisation and beyond. Ultimately driving better collaboration, saving cost and improving the effectiveness of your meetings, projects and programmes.
