STEP 1: COLLECT OPINIONS, GENERATE IDEAS. Start with the end in mind. What are you trying to achieve? We create the environment where everyone can contribute fully, openly and creatively. We know anonymity helps enormously as people are free to say what they really think, and the group contributes new ideas from a wider pool of perspectives.
SSTEP 2: THEME, SORT, DISCUSS. Sort the 'Data'. Sort the ideas into sensible, pragmatic topics, themes or headings. It’s crucial that the group itself conducts this exercise as they will become familiar with the 'data' as a whole and start to buy-in to where their ideas end up!
STEP 3: SYNTHESISE AND REVIEW. Make sense of the data. The group deep dives into the themed data to make sense of what has been captured. Don’t rush this - it is where the best ideas/solutions begin to form and reveal to the group so the best ultimate decisions are formed.
STEP 4: DECIDE, PRIORITISE, SELECT. Decision time: The group works to agree what is most important. Everyone has the independent and anonymous ability to select their top ideas. Followed by a further pragmatic, open discussion on the impact of the prioritisation; does it make sense? Is the group truly bought into the decision with passion and commitment?
Step 5: NEXT STEPS & ACTION PLAN. So What's the Plan? This is where we work with you develop the plan or next steps to ensure your decision is implemented; your people have contributed and committed to the entire decision making process. So implementing the outcomes will be relatively straight forward.
